We here at Akroview love zombies and all things horror so it was no surprise that we saw this and thought “yup this could be worthy to grace our sd card!”

But what first seemed to be a dull endless running game turned out to be much more addictive, or should we say infectious, then we could have ever thought. (more…)

Today it is very difficult for new bands to get recognised in the music business, and it seems as though many people would be afraid of listening to songs that they did not already hear on the radio. It also seems as though people are only interested in artists that have become mainstream and have topped the charts in America and the UK, but you may be surprised to find that there is a lot of music talent on our own Irish soil. One band in particular has risen through the ranks and has now released their second album into the shops. (more…)

Smart phones at the ready!

We all remember the craze that swept the iPhones of the majority of country last year, such a simple concept but with such an amazing response. You run…that’s basically it. I could almost imagine developers such as EPIC and Activision looking at workers on their breaks playing this game and thinking to themselves” How is this so addicting?!!” and to be honest I don’t know either, but it is!

The story alone is so simple, oh shit I robbed an artefact and now I’m being chased by some really pissed off monkey demons I better run! I know I’m dumbing it down and that there could be a true meaning behind what’s going on, but sadly I have not seen it…you just run!

But then it came to android and now I finally got a chance to play the elusive Temple Run, and against all odds…I didn’t like it. Now calm down I’m entitled to my opinion too, I didn’t see why people got so worked up over it, I guess it was the competition side of things that made it so popular, still didn’t work for me. But then I found out that there were a couple more games out there that took inspiration from Temple run but made it entirely different, here are just 5 of the games I found. (more…)

Now you may be wondering why I placed a poster for Gamer as the main picture for this piece but from what Microsoft have announced we may be one step closer to what this game entails.. and I don’t mean controlling real people in wars because that’s just crazy and wrong! (more…)

It seems as though Amazon has put up a pre order page for Splinter Cell:Blacklist! According to the web page it will be release on the 3rd of April and they are also willing to gift wrap it all for the apparent low low price £39.99 , around €50 !

Here is a quick screen grab from the Amazon mobile web page (since this is being wrote on an android phone!) (more…)

Makes the term “get your finger out” even better to use!

We remember when the kinect was releases and the fact that you could shout orders at your squad mates in mass effect was such a cool feature. But now it seems that the WiiU will be adding more awesome features to their edition of Mass Effect.

The trailer below shows that you can now send allies to a certain part of the map to give covering fire straight from the controllers touch pad, it also shows us that the graphics still seem to be as epic as ever, this game alone would be a perfectly valid reason for buying a WiiU and I think that’s going to be our excuse too!
