Finally, after two years of waiting I finally made it to the illustrious Q-Con! After hearing nothing but good things about it I had to check it out for myself. But alas the train fares and my work schedule have forbid me to attend, until this year. And to say I was surprised is an understatement. Why?!
As we know the Unreal Engine was one of the best engines for making games, it has been used in almost all major AAA titles and has really set the bar for graphics, lighting, physics and all the other lovely stuff that makes our games look and feel like real life! I remember back in the day when Gears of War 2 was being revealed and they showed off the next generation of Unreal Software and they did this by shooting a cube of meat over and over within the GoW game….this blew our minds! And now here we are, Unreal Engine 4 and an unbelievably well made video showing off the sheer power of this new engine. (more…)
There is a combined sigh of relief and despair going across the county now as what seemed to be the biggest convention of the year has closed it doors. And I’m well aware that this review is very late in being published,I have no one else but myself to blame on that one, but the majority of my time after the con was spent tearing the place down and sleeping! So in part one I touched upon the more hyped up games that will be appearing on the new Xbox One, but there was a lot more on show. The four that were reviewed in the first part were ones that I was eager to get my hands on and did so with an already one sided opinion on what these games would be like, but there was a whole lot of other games that I was new to and was first introduced to at the event. I was quite surprised at the quality and gameplay of these games and it only further reinforced the notion of me purchasing an Xbox One in the near future. So lets get cracking into some of the lesser hyped games appearing on the Xbox One.

I’ve always wanted a copy of Battlefield 3 for the Pc for ages now, it always looked well on PC than Xbox but I was taken away at the price of it, €30 may seem cheap but for a game that’s been out that long I’d think they’d drop the price a little bit.
But today my dreams, and dreams of hundreds of thousands of gamers across the world have been answered! The Humble Bundle have issued their new Origin Bundle, one of the best bundles I have ever seen.

Remember the crazy over the top motorcycle racing game that allowed you to bash the brains out of your competitiors with chains and bats, you know the one i mean, of course its Road Rash!! Well this game saw a untimely end and let a generation of punk racers deprived of there motorcycle mayhem, but thanks to DarkSeas Games we now will have a revamped, redubbed, ridiculous new look on the Road Rash title with Road Redemption. CVG have revealed an invitation that contains details of an event happening next week where there will be some “exciting announcements” about the future of Gran Turismo. Could this mean the announcement of Gran Turismo 6? It is in connection with the 15th Anniversary of the series so it could be something pretty darn big! Looks like Medal of Honor developer Danger Close has confirmed that Warfighter is getting a nice little Christmas update for next week with some rather big changes.
The update, coming on the 17th for PC and the 18th for the PS3 and 360 fixes more issues than Santa has presents, it’s aim is to make the game look better and also quicken up the wait time in between matches.
