So it has arrived, finally after months of snippets and teasers, deadlines and set backs we are finally graced with the behemoth of open world sandbox and what is set to be the greatest GTA ever to be released, but how does it actually live up to the hype?! Well read on and find out.

So here we are back in Los Santos and what an improvement it is! The first thing I have to say about the game is that it looks gorgeous, albeit some minor graphical errors but That’s nothing to be worried about, the game looks crisps and sharp and the cinematic cutscenes look like they’ve been taken out of a modern day motion picture! Although I am accustomed to the ultra graphics of PC games I will admit I was a little disappointed when I first saw the initial bank heist but about an hour into playing its starting to look pretty damn sexy! I go to a comic book shop on a regular basis, but what is just a humble nerdy vendor actually holds a lot more than you think. Down below the shop houses a mass of computers and video games, DVDs and projectors, nerd heaven basically. I became a member of this club sometime last year and one of the things that I was introduced to in this club was Warframe, or as the guys who run the place like to call it “Space Ninjas”. (more…)

It was only a matter of time before Spartacus got it’s own game and to be honest it would have been good. Think of it, it would be one of the goriest gladiator games to ever grace the home console. But Spartacus Legends is far from legendary. (more…)

Get mission, walk, kill zombie, realise you can’t carry more supplies and repeat. This is the general principle behind State of Decay it seems. Now don’t get me wrong we here at Akroview love zombies and the undead, sure our editor (ME!) is part of a zombie hunting group in Ireland, but I wasn’t all that impressed with State of Decay as most others seem to be. We here at Akroview love zombies and all things horror so it was no surprise that we saw this and thought “yup this could be worthy to grace our sd card!”

But what first seemed to be a dull endless running game turned out to be much more addictive, or should we say infectious, then we could have ever thought. (more…)

Smart phones at the ready!

We all remember the craze that swept the iPhones of the majority of country last year, such a simple concept but with such an amazing response. You run…that’s basically it. I could almost imagine developers such as EPIC and Activision looking at workers on their breaks playing this game and thinking to themselves” How is this so addicting?!!” and to be honest I don’t know either, but it is!

The story alone is so simple, oh shit I robbed an artefact and now I’m being chased by some really pissed off monkey demons I better run! I know I’m dumbing it down and that there could be a true meaning behind what’s going on, but sadly I have not seen it…you just run!

But then it came to android and now I finally got a chance to play the elusive Temple Run, and against all odds…I didn’t like it. Now calm down I’m entitled to my opinion too, I didn’t see why people got so worked up over it, I guess it was the competition side of things that made it so popular, still didn’t work for me. But then I found out that there were a couple more games out there that took inspiration from Temple run but made it entirely different, here are just 5 of the games I found. (more…)

Shoot many robots, does exactly what it says on the tin pretty much. Your main objective in this arcade title is to simply shoot the living hell out of a mass of robots. It may sound boring and generic but trust me; it gets pretty fun after a while.

So let’s start with the story, it’s the basic and rather stereotypical tale of a lonely redneck, P. Walter Tugnut (the P stands for Pickles, but don’t call him that,) that has his entire life based in his trailer, and his life consists mainly of beer and a ton of guns. Then the robots came and took all that from him, now it is your job to aid our protagonist in a journey to get back his beloved trailer and also destroy them robots in the process. (more…)
